President and Chief Executive Officer
Victoria W. Bayless Victoria W. Bayless is the president and chief executive officer of Anne Arundel Medical Center. She joined AAMC as vice president of clinical and support services in 2005 and was promoted to chief operating officer in 2006. In September 2009, Bayless was named president and chief operating officer and was promoted to CEO in 2011.
Bayless has more than 20 years of experience in leadership and management roles, specializing in business development, hospital and health system operations, strategic planning and marketing, medical staff relations and physician practice management. Prior to joining AAMC, she was vice president of clinical services at MedStar Washington Hospital Center and held several other roles there from 1993 to 2005.
In 2007, Bayless was recognized by Modern Healthcare magazine as one of twelve national healthcare leaders in the publication's 2007 "Up and Comers" report. The Baltimore Business Journal recognized Bayless as one of "40 under 40" business leaders in the region. She has been recognized as an Influential Marylander by the Daily Record, and is a YWCA TWIN (Tribute to Women and Industry) honoree.
Bayless received her bachelor of science from Tufts University and her master of health services administration from The University of Michigan School of Public Health. She also holds a certificate in executive leadership from the Georgetown University Center for Professional Development.
A fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, Bayless serves on several boards including: The American Hospital Association Regional Policy Board; CareFirst GHMSI; United Way of Central Maryland; and Johns Hopkins Home Care Group. She recently served on the Maryland Hospital Association’s Executive Committee and the United Way Anne Arundel County Partnership Board. In 2016, Ms. Bayless was appointed by Governor Hogan to serve on Maryland’s Health Services Cost Review Commission.

Dr. Elliott is a board certified Pathologist and serves as the Medical Director in the Division of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Doctors’ Community Hospital in Lanham, Maryland. Dr. Elliott is also a Clinical Assistant Professor of Pathology at the George Washington University Medical School. He studied at the University of Liberia Medical School and did his pathology residency at George Washington University Medical School.
